We're making homemade eggnog tomorrow morning in preparation of enjoying it during the App game! We are stoked and can't wait for our Mountaineers to take out Mission Control!

That wouldn't be one of those good secret family recipes with some mountain brandy in it would it....that cooks the eggs overnight? The kind that's not too sweet, so smooth, can't hardly taste the liquor and must have some more.
Man I could use some of that.

It's actually an old North Carolina recipe dating back to 1847! Here's the recipe for any and all to enjoy!
Classic North Carolina Eggnog
Yield: 8 large cups or 16 small.
6 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar (calls for 1/3 but it's not enough)
1 cup rum
1 cup bourbon
1 cup brandy
2 cups whole milk
2 cups cream
6 egg whites
Grated nutmeg
In a large stainless steel bowl, beat the egg yolks with a wire whisk until very light and doubled in volume. Slowly add in the sugar, beating constantly until ribbony, about 3 to 4 minutes. Continue to beat while carefully adding the liquors, one by one, whisking the whole time. Gently whisk in the milk and the cream. Wash and dry the whisk. In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites with the whisk until stiff. Gently fold the egg whites into the eggnog. Refrigerate several hours before serving. Garnish with fresh nutmeg.

My recipe is much easier.
1 cup bourbon
pour into glass (may need to be double or tripled)
Just kidding, that recipe of yours sounds awesome.
