A lot of people were unhappy with this young man playing QB for us earlier this season? Anybody want to complain now? He's a winner and the Camellia Bowl MVP. And we are fortunate enough to have him back for another year. Count your blessings people.

He's now 27-8 as a starter with 2 bowl wins, a conference championship, and a bowl MVP all in his first 3 years. Not too bad...

Before kickoff, I told my wife that the game depended on how well Lamb ran the ball. ... I was right.
Truly, the MVP.
He might not have the strongest arm, but he is cagey and a gamer.
Go Apps!

Nice stats Alex. He is a winner and winners do win. He is not an NFL qb and will not make those throws. For us he doesn't have to make those throws. The reason TL won the job when he was a freshman over Caruso ....... was that he makes less mistakes. Its not pretty sometimes but he is piling up the W's.

You stop it right now. Taylor had a hell of a game, but does not run like Armanti.

I was one who was harsh on Lamb. I talked about his lack of mobility compared to the dual threats we've had in the past, and his weak arm. He sure did tell me to shut the hell up tonight. I wasn't convinced after last year's bowl win, but now I'm sold. Very impressed and happy with his performance. My mentality did a complete 180...I am happy he is back for another year.

Taylor played a great game and I'm proud of his performance. He's gritty and great at scrambling. That said, I still stand by my prior statement that we have trouble moving the ball through the air due primarily to his weak arm. And if we want to contend with the big boys, we need a passing attack. Doesn't diminish his accomplishments tonight, but his performance also doesn't change his passing deficiencies. We cannot have a one dimensional offense.

It could have been a blow out. Think about all the passes that hit receivers in hands and dropped. Tons of first downs missed

Let's also give Rubino his due. I was as frustrated as anyone early in the season, but as the season progressed, so did he. Kicked a 47 yarder at Troy, and was 4/4 PAT's today, and made what would become the game winner. Obviously it's not easy, as we saw from Toledo's kicker. Congrats to him, and feel confident with his abilities over the next 3 years.

We don't need a deep passing attack though. We need an intermediate one and it was there tonight but there were so many drops. Capel looked bad. Hopkins, Lewis, Jones, and Absher all dropped at least one. Lamb didn't regress as a QB this year though the stats would have you believe that. The receivers struggled to make the easy catches at times, much less the difficult ones.

Lamb showed grit and ran with authority and did what he was supposed to do as a leader. He still can't throw a consistent spiral for whatever reason but we won and that's all that matters

Allow me some hyperbole. TL was great last night and deserves the comparison.
