I approve. Wish they had a rendering of what it would look like from the field. I can't tell from the pictures provided.

Re: North End Zone Project
Does it depict the possible parking deck at stadium lot? It is a possible location, which would kill the looks of the stadium and tailgating atmosphere.

Re: North End Zone Project
On a side note I heard from a reliable source (employee of sign company awarded contract) that the new video/scoreboard in Kidd Brewer is a go and has to be completed by next August. The contract also includes a new video/scoreboard at Holmes. I assume the final design was pretty much what we saw on the athletic pager earlier this year. Guy kept talking about how big the columns were (15ft square) holding up the board

The Holmes videoboard was hoped to be done this winter break, but now it'll be after the season.

Not sure about those pics would like to see more. My hope is that the deck in the stadium lot will be underground, or yest that will kill things

Phone wouldn't properly load the article....so if anyone else is having the same issue...here it is. BTW YC mods...why am I forced to upload an image URL now instead of being able to directly upload a photo?

Re: North End Zone Project
My question is how would this affect our ability to place permanent seating in the north end zone? X,000 seats below with (the visible) club seating above? I'm sure it's there, it's just pictured in the rendering.

Amen to that...have always hated that visual on TV...it was worse in the old days when you'd see the soccer lines on the field and the soccer goals pushed over to the corner. Always looked second rate.bigCasu wrote:Goodbye track!

Remember, you don't get rid of the track before you get shovels in the ground to build a new T&F facility.

Re: North End Zone Project
I hope they use similar materials as the athletic tower so it looks somewhat uniform.
I see the "Yosef Club" room sign, I hope they bring the actual club room here and move away from the Quinn.
Looks like those on the wait list for club seating may have found a home.

Could have said the same thing 15 years ago and been correct then too.APPdiesel wrote:Tailgate buddy: "Man, we're not going to be able to recognize the old stadium in 15 years"Rick83 wrote:Amen to that...have always hated that visual on TV...it was worse in the old days when you'd see the soccer lines on the field and the soccer goals pushed over to the corner. Re: North End Zone Project
I've seen a rendering from the vantage point of the top middle east stands. I'm sure it was not to scale, but based on what I saw, my guess is approx 2k permanent field level curved seating located on the back of the end zone, below approx 1k curved club level seating, with two large curved buildings behind. The whole series of structures appeared to connect the east and west sides. It looked very similar to what we are seeing today. I don't think it would allow for future expansion on the north side, but I think we can go higher on the east, if need be. Also I think the hill will become permanent seating if and when demand occurs. What I saw looked very impressive. I especially liked the curve design of all three structures. Re: North End Zone Project
If it was done by a professional architecture firm, then the render should be to scale. You just got me very excited.yosef13 wrote:I've seen a rendering from the vantage point of the top middle east stands. Re: North End Zone Project
It was impressive. This will give our stadium a tighter feel. It just seems to give it more of an FBS look.Appftw wrote:If it was done by a professional architecture firm, then the render should be to scale.
