Who had the best "unicorn game" for App FB?

Taking this idea from Reddit because it's the offseason.
Which App State player had that one game where they looked like an All-American, then for whatever reason, wasn't as effective afterward?
For instance, Logan Hallock coming in relief against WCU in 2012 and completing something like 21 of his first 22 passes, but didn't do much afterward because other guys won the job.

Any RB from 2008 after Devon Moore went out for the year. can't remember his name, but the next guy up after Moore that year had some really good games but then he got hurt too

This probably isn't quite the intended meaning and I'll probably get killed for saying it but: Dexter Jackson vs. Michigan.

We cycled backs after Moore went down. Robert Welton (Who roomed with CoCo Hillary my first and only year in Justice) got the most work as well as Devin Radford. Knew Rob personally, great dude who kind of kept to himself but had major potential. I believe he ended up transferring to a school in Georgia.

He let that Michigan game go to his head. He became more arrogant around campus, and although had some nice yardage some games you're right he kind of was a bust. I remember after he got drafted and he came back to Boone for a bye week or something him and Jerome Touchstone got into a fight at good ole Char.

Dexter had his moments here and there. Two punt returns touchdowns in the same quarter at Gardner-Webb, running 120 yards on a 60-yard touchdown catch versus Richmond. Besides that, he was just another WR in the rotation. That SI cover got him drafted in the second round.

Cadet at ECU comes to mind. He got plenty of opportunities throughout his career at App, but always seemed to fumble at the most inoppertune times, and danced around the field too much on runs.
Funny, he is one of our NFL players with more longevity

Ricky Fergerson had back to back games with 107 rushing yards and 123 rushing yards in 2014 against Troy and Georgia State. He only rushed for 142 yards in the other 23 games in his junior and senior season combined.

Wasn't Rod Chisolm in the mix?

Sean Price the one year he played. Potential star but a head case off the field. Probably not exactly what you wanted but he comes to mind because one year he was there and next poof he was gone.

Barely beat me to it.

It was basically three plays in that game that got him drafted (along with his 40 time of course). He wasn't a bad player otherwise, just a good #2 receiver and above-average kick returner who was about as likely to fair catch a punt at the 2 as to run one back for a TD.

Didn't he muff a punt at the Wofford game that cost us a chance for a comeback and allowed them to put the game away? That loss always took a little luster off the Michigan game for me.

I think what got him drafted was that he was the fastest guy on the planet that year at combine. I read numerous places he ran horrible routes.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Jaquil Capel.

Patrick Blalock. Earned a schalorship after blocking two punts in 2010 and went on to be an absolute liability in our secondary for years.

One could argue his 6/82 game against ODU. Only 18 catches for 205 yards in next 11 games.

Trey Elder coming off the bench against Furman in the '05 Semifinals.

True. That was an awesome game and he played well.
Trey would have had many "unicorn games" I think. But the greatest App in history came on the scene at the point when Trey would have taken over.
Not that it was a mistake in any way, but 1 game against an ACC team didn't give him a chance to prove himself as a starter.
