Un-Special Teams keep being our Achliles Heel, who is responsible in this area? I don't know who it is, but, they are doing a very poor job!!! Glad we won, however, this is an area of concern (again and again)!!

Good game by a very tired and beat up team. Looking forward to seeing what we do after this rest. I think it will far outweigh any loss of momentum.

Going to give Sam Martin some love for his 12 pts. and bomb of a punt downed on the 1.

Agreed, however, we continue to give up 6 on kickoffs on a continual basis. Once again, very happy we won. However, special teams (overall) continue to be an area of concern. Going into the playoffs we need to learn to dot the Is and cross the Ts.

I agree special teams usually hurt us but, outside on the one stupid KO return (why kick to that guy), this rests on our offense and holding on to the ball. The rest of the special teams played pretty good (4/4 on FG's, 50+ average on punts, and only two returned kicks (yes, one was bad). Our guys just couldn't hold onto the darn ball. The score should not have been close.

A great win for the Apps today coming off a very big and physical win at GaSo. Now hopefully they can get healthy and wait for a home playoff game 3 weeks from today. Way to finish the regular season Apps!

No kidding. I listened to this one on the radio. Remember Miracle On The Mountain 2? I was there. I didn't feel any joy or elation. Only a little relief and let's just get the F out of here. I am too old for this too.

I hate giving up points (and momentum) on special teams. But this is what happens on a young team especially with as many injuries as we've had. Glad we got the win. On to the playoffs!!

Other than a few exceptions oue kick coverage personnel has been essentially the same since opening day. We seem to be able to attract good kickers and punters, but coverage has been a problem through out Coach Moore's tenure. Every time it happens we get the same old line, "this is something that can be corrected". Hey Coach! It's time you made good on that promise.

Poor special teams play will someday cost us a game, it almost already has. How many TDs have our special teams allowed over the past three or four years? I don't know the answer, however, it is safe to say way more than what should be expected. Anyway, great game yesterday. Glad we won and now the team can get some much needed rest and move on to the playoffs. Go Apps!!

If we do get a first roound bye, which I believe we will, that will be three weeks rest and recovery. It is also a time for a very young team to learn and for seniors to get a cold dose of reality that this really is it. It should be a huge blessing for them and they could reach the potential we all have talked about all year. Probably not all the way, but the could make some noise. At the very least, not get shamed at home in the first round. Our last two playoffs performance is the only thing that concerns me about our chances of playing at home in our openning round.

One thing is for certain, during the playoffs we can't afford to spot teams 21 points like we did yesterday!! It appeared we did everything we could to give that game away, good thing Vermin didn't take full advantage of the gifts.

Good thing the defense really stepped up. Only Sam Martin of defensive players should be considered for game balls this week. I'd probably give the game ball to Kimbrough with his 17 tackles. Honorable mention for Sam Martin, and for the O, The Chancellor.

We love Sam Martin!
At the top of 211, before every kick we scream and cheer for Sam.

(Not related to Sam but, I think my daughter has a crush on him!)
:D
