Not a single App player invited to the NFL combine this year. Really surprised to not see at least one, say, Marcus Cox. Since the transition to FBS we've had one player get invited (Ronald Blair).

We aren't likely to see anyone drafted, so I'm not surprised.

I did find it interesting that Elijah McGuire from LaLa got invited while Cox didn't.

Thought Gilchrist was our best bet. I'm sure we'll have scouts from most of the league at our pro day though.

Gilchrist will be drafted. He played his best games that I recall against both Tennessee and Clemson. If he is able to run a 4.5 during his Pro Day and comes in at around 230, he will likely be drafted and given a "redshirt" year to bulk up. He could easily play in a zone scheme like the Seahawks and Falcons run, playing the blitz or slot zone on pass rushing downs.

Cox is projected for 5th rd. or lower. Gilcrest projected middle to late rds. as well. Also talk of Gray being a late rd. pick up.

Gray I'm not sure about, but always thought he has the measurables to go pro.

Now I won't have a reason to watch the Combine and listen to that smart ass Mike Mayock.

If he could transition to corner he would likely be okay. He isn't currently big enough to play safety and in my opinion isn't a fluid athlete that could transition to corner.

So 6-foot-3, 225 pounds isn't big enough to play safety in the NFL?

Don't forget 4.43 40 at our Max Week this past season. If he does anything close to that at our Pro Day he should get some looks.

Gray is the one guy that NFL numbers guys are going to love.
I think Cox, Gilcrist, Gray, and Tyson (maybe Law) will be the guys in NFL camps later this year.

I agree about this. I think Law will be much like Kimbrough a couple of years ago...get in a camp and then kind of fizzle out due to his size. But, who knows; he could be like a DJ Smith who balls out (just hopefully not the same outcome with a career ending injury).

Best route for Cox is probably free agent since he can go to a team in need of his services
