I am sure we have a member around here that will still feel compelled to impeach Eric's loyalties. It certainly won't be me, and never was.

Still upset we didn't keep his song Outsiders as part of our intro.

I'm not, country is trash. I think it's cool that Eric and Luke are out there doing big things, but at the end of they day they're still in one of the worst genres out there.

This leads me to believe there is HD footage of the game..... I wonder if it's the entire game and when/if that will ever be available.

Listen to the lyrics - it was a great intro song.

They’re the in crowd, we’re the other ones
It’s a different kind of cloth that we’re cut from
We let our colors show, where the numbers ain’t
With the paint where there ain’t supposed to be paint
That’s who we are
That’s how we roll
The outsiders, The outsiders

Anyone that puts Eric and Luke in the same sentence doesn't understand music.

Agreed. I really liked it, the blue collar meaning of the song, and the fact that the writer/performer is an alum.

Both of them went to App...

I don't like country because it's formulaic and melodically unimaginative. From my point of view, you don't understand music because you enjoy country, one of its most dumbed down genres. I've given Eric a listen several times, I keep hearing he's not like the other guys (pickup trucks, moonlight, etc), but to me he's close enough.

Assuming you are talking about Luke Bryan...He went to Georgia Southern I thought

I like Eric and Luke (as long as Luke is Luke Combs) , would not consider myself a diehard country fan. My tailgate group plays a lot of EC :) I really liked the Outsiders song.

You seem to enjoy the beat of music more than the words used and the meaning of them. If you have kids, go listen to Church's "three year old", then get back to me. If you don't it probably won't mean much to you, too simple of a melody or something.

What is the best genre of music?

It was rebroadcast in HD on the Big10 Network several times. I used to have the HD version on my DVR until it died. Now I only have the 480p version on DVD.

Only my truck radio would pick up the game whole family tailgating in the driveway. The WHOLE neighborhood knew when we won.

No2 I would guess only listens to hip hop with its deep meaningful lyrics with a little electronica mixed in. No doubt country has changed but still has a few real talents.

A couple diamonds in the rough with today's pop country.... but the real country music of the day is alive and well, just not "mainstream." Its called "Red Dirt." Check it out on Pandora. Great stuff.

"Anyone that puts Eric and Luke in the same sentence doesn't understand music."

But...you put "Eric" and "Luke" in the same sentence! hahahhahah.

I am not making a statement on music that I have never heard, just the wording of the sentence which made me laugh.

Cheers!

Side note, when he was a freshman at App, Luke Combs auditioned and got into an Acapella group I was in. Oddly enough he was our go to for rap solos on a couple songs. I had the pleasure of singing with him for a couple years and invited him to his very first App "game", fan fest.
