The most realistic final score on that list is the 48-0 over Savannah State.

Idaho scoring the most points against us wouldn't surprise me. They still got Linehan who is probably the best QB in the conference.

I'll be the requisite buzzkill who points out that having us favored in 11 games isn't the same as projecting that we'll go 11-1. But still, not bad. Maybe the highest praise there is giving us a 41% chance vs. Georgia.

I know we have some depth, finally, but the losses of Collins, Collmar, Cox on offense and Small, Fernandez, Gilchrist, Williams, Law on defense are going to be felt, early on in my opinion, and depth at NT isn't what is was last two years. I hope I am wrong, but see 11-1 as a real stretch.

Biggest loss on offense is Collins. Biggest loss on defense is Gilchrist. I feel good about all those other guys being replaced with great players. Don't forget we have some guys returning that have played a lot on the defensive side of the ball. Don't think we'll miss a beat there. Probably will be better than last year. My only concern on the offensive side is the nastiness of Parker being absent!

There should be less 15 yard penalties

You have a point there for sure! Parker just couldn't help himself sometimes! :D

Many times those 15 yard penalties were committed at the worst possible time, like at Troy last season.

Yes 11-1 is a stretch but possible.

This also shows that 12-0 is within reach. You have to aim high if you are going to accomplish big things.

It would be a fun ride to see App roll to a 13-0 2017 season in year 3. That would put us squarely finishing in the top 25.

Yea Baby!!!

That might put us in the top 10.

It would be a WMU type season for sure. It will be difficult, but it's possible.

Could you imagine ESPN Gameday in Boone!?!?

I think we end up 10-2 again. Lose to UGA, beat WFU, and drop one SB game. That would be a hell of a season!

Most of the games look relatively close to realistic including Georgia State, UMass, ULL, Texas State, etc. The Miami shellshock has not worn off so I'll withhold judgment on the Wake game.

I hope the Miami debacle teaches our team a lesson. I don't think our guys will make the same mistake two years in a row. They now know when a P5 comes to Boone they will be motivated to bring their A game because they don't think they should be playing us in our house. We have to be prepared to punch them in the face and play 60 minutes of premium ball.

I agree we won't make the same mistake with another ACC in our house this year. BUT, I completely disagree with you about what the mistake last year was. Against Miami, App was so excited that such a team was up here, we overran plays, over threw passes, over blocked schemes, over slobbered, over coached, over breathed, over everything-ed. All we needed to have done was just calm the hell down and play App football. That's all.

This year, Coach needs to have the team relax; do yoga, whatever it takes to calm down and focus on playing football.

You just described a bunch of mistakes, isn't that a debacle? I think you kind of summarized my point in a more verbose form. :D

One key point I think occurred is Mark Richt seriously outcoached Satt. Unlike he UT game, The U hit us everywhere we had a weakness and we were not prepared.

If I recall correctly, Miami went to a no huddle fast paced attack and exposed a weakness others later tried to exploit...less successfully. So I will agree with getting outcoached. I don't know if our players were not emotionally prepared for the game.

Clemson a few years ago and Miami last year moved so quick between the 20's with bubble passes because our corners were playing so soft. Hopefully with the experience we have in that area of the defense this year we can play more aggressive without the fear of getting beat deep. Our defense holds the run pretty well, will be interesting to see how they fair against Georgia's bruisers.

Miami had something Tennessee didn't have - a QB who could throw NFL-quality deep balls - and bunch of big, fast receivers. I am still skeptical of the whole idea that we just somehow weren't mentally prepared for them. I think we just got our butts kicked. Yes we made some mistakes but I'm not convinced it was because we held a pep rally or whatever.

Wake is an improving program but we will not be at anywhere near the athletic disadvantage we were vs. Miami.
