Unread post by asutrnr81 » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:21 pm

Tashion Singleton apparently was shot at a party in Charlotte.

Very few details...Team members tweeting about it right now!

Prayer for Tashion and Family.

No replies to this yet? This is one of our own. A great kid from what I can tell.

Praying the situation is not serious, don't want to speculate.

Obviously, I don't know if this is the same incident, but it looks like the time frame matches up. If it is the party where Tay was shot, the injury doesn't look like it's life-threatening. http://www.wcnc.com/news/neighborhood-n ... 57861.html

Blackmon just put on Twitter that he talked to Singleton and that he's out of the woods.

Nothing good ever happens after midnight. Especially in Charlotte.

Coach Moore quoted in the Charlotte Observer saying he visited him today and Tashion is in good spirits. Sounds like he came out of it OK, considering the circumstances

You know.... I've never been shot at a party... Heck I've never had a gun pulled on me at a party. Know why? I don't go to parties where morons carry guns. I wonder if Gainey was hosting this party? Hey football players, you're known by the company you keep. If you are going to hang with these type of folks then I'll assume (yeah I know what it gets me) you are like them...... Be smart.....

Other report said he and friends went to an apt to pick up someone and were approached by people who did the shooting. It's CLT these days it seems, mini ALT sometimes.

Sounds like half the story. That report seems to say that they were picking up someone, were approached, and then shot at for no reason at all...Two sides to every story.

I don't know what's worse. You saying stupid crap like this without knowing the full story or people giving you rep for it.

I'm not saying that I know the story. I'm saying that none of us know the story so to presume what you're presuming is awfully judgemental at this stage of the story.

not saying I agree with Todd's assumption but if I remember correctly he is a cop and therefore does have generally a better point of reference

My post had two parts to it. The first was that it was a great opportunity to get a jab in at Gainey. Second was to reinforce to Singleton that you cant lay with dogs and not expect to get fleas. Nothing against the guy. I wish him a speedy recovery.

I have to agree with Todd. I've been to tons of parties, no problems. People on my caseload, different story?????? Todd is a cop and I believe he, like me, has the ability to obtain info that others can't. Just saying.

I'm I saying Singleton got what he deserved? HELL NO!!!!! I don't wish that on anyone, but common sense tells you what parties to go to and which ones not to go to. For the most part, you know before hand if the people there are trouble makers or not.

But one story says he didn't know the people, just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time possibly, so still are assuming a bit to much on it either way it happened.

I don't see the need to "rush" into negativity, condemnation, or judgement. Facts have not yet been revealed. Speculation can be dangerous to reputations and unfair no matter what one's life experience or work experience might be. What if he had a sister who found herself in an uncomfortable situation. Maybe she had enough sense to call for a ride home? (I do not know if he has a sister? Just playing the devil with common sense.) How many readers would not have gone to her aid? Might just give him the benefit of doubt until there is reason (facts) to support the young mans behavior. HE IS ONE OF OURS AFTER ALL. Why not let him get past the medical crisis and allow professionals investigating to have time to do their work. Going "Gainey on him is a cheap shot."
