False Start Penalties

Unread post by App91 » Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:09 pm

Have not seen it mention but in passing, what has to be done to correct this? Understand mistakes, but the offense SHOULD know the snap count. This has got to be cleaned up and sooner rather than later, but has been going on for a while.
Just as an add in, another off sides on a punt that gives them a first down, just cannot remember if it turned into points like the one in WF game :x  :?

I can forgive the one against NMSU. It was a "trick" play designed by NMSU to cause the offsides. NMSU had no less than 3 guys moving forward at once for shift (I think it was 4 or 5 if my memory serves me right). Having never seen something like that, the special teamers are more prone to jumping. I won't say it should happen, but I can forgive it given the way it happened.

But yes, the amount of false starts at home is alarming. Seems to be a mental error along the line. Good news is that can be corrected and I trust the coaches and leaders of the team to correct it!
