Honestly, I think you can stand behind the new board and still see the fieldAppinVA wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 3:25 pmPut the old board on the back of he new board. They were covering the speakers and putting up additional sponsors last night. They were also adding lights to the rear of the board.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 9:44 amThanks for the update! What is left to do? I am assuming the brick base?
A few monitors mounted on the back would let all the folks standing on the loop by the bathrooms see the action.

Looks great. One thing, and maybe I'm misremembering...Where is the 30 second clock in that end zone?

Never mind. It's in the lower right.

They were afraid folks wouldn't have something to complain about so they decided to thank their sponsors.

Re: New video board
Moose or others --- does anyone know if the "Elevation 3333" will be displayed somewhere within the stadium this season? - I just always thought that that was really cool !!!

Re: New video board
Agreed, I really liked the elevation as a static. It's a minor nitpick, no doubt, but would love to see the 3,333 back up somewhere.
I've had the thought a few times since the first conceptual drawings came out, but now that App has this lovely monstrosity, it's time for the video crew to step up as well and get some good shots for replays. . . look I get it, one of my degrees from App is in Broadcast Communications too, and I realize why networks like to put cameras on the press box of stadiums (field logo right side up on screen, etc.) but the angles are so steep from the Kidd Brewer press box, I'd almost prefer default camera positions on the east side stands.

Re: New video board
I think it's like 8-10 feet up, so anyone standing behind the scoreboard will still have a clear view of the action on the fieldsixtoes9134 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 6:27 pmHonestly, I think you can stand behind the new board and still see the fieldAppinVA wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 3:25 pmPut the old board on the back of he new board.
