Re: New video board
Super excited about the board but just curious. What does this do to GA hill seating? Looks like we lose a bunch. Can we still accommodate 35k fans for big games like WFU?

From the picture, it looks like it takes up a pretty good amount.
I like the white block A on top.

Re: New video board
Any truth to rumor that new board bought by a resident that lives up on Howard's Knob that is not comfortable in large crowds.

Re: New video board
This is a good point. A potential oversight on the new board in not having "Elevation 3,333 feet" on it. We have the highest elevation university this side of the Rockies and from what I've seen on topographic maps in Rankin Science West, KBS truly is 3,333 feet above sea level. That's a piece of home-field advantage and should be included, even if it's an add-on at the bottom of the board.mountaineerman wrote:Elevation 3333?

Re: New video board
Pardon if this has been mentioned here previously---I heard at Fan Fest from reliable sources that the block "A" will be illuminated. I would assume the entire top banner would be as well. I truly looks better than I imagined from the stands and on the field. I have been stopping by the stadium to check progress and nothing beats the up close and in person view!!
So proud of our leadership for making this happen and I am glad the wife and I made a donation to help support this great addition to 'The Rock"!!

Re: New video board
Signage is a piece of the homefield advantage? I think we'll be alright without. Sure, 3,333 is somewhat a cool number I guess, but boy can we find faults with the best of 'em.

Re: New video board
It has not been established this is a 10 year, 10 month, 10 week, 10 day, or even 10 minute implication. That's part of the beauty of modern signage. It's capable of running multiple messages in multiple locations at multiple intervals. But find fault as you wish.T-Dog wrote:When you're dealing with 10-year decisions, details are important.Yosef10 wrote:Signage is a piece of the homefield advantage? I think we'll be alright without. Re: New video board
I believe someone said there would be a "wind screen" type of coverage for the speakers and that they would feature ads as well.
