Satt ranked 55 out of 130 FBS coaches for 2017 season. They say continued success would make him a "hot candidate to move up into the P5".

I don't care if he is is 131 out of 130 as long as he keeps winning with a clean program that graduates the players in an honest way. In fact that might keep his salary down a bit and lower the chances of him leaving App, which for the record I have no desire to see happen.
With that said, there is no way he is not one of the top 15-20 in the country. Given what he does with what he has at the G5 level I think would make him a heck of a lot better than so many more. (And that goes for a few other G5 coaches as well in my view.) If we have one of the top 5 winning programs for the last three years then I think that should at least make him top 20 in coaching.

He may or may not be a top 20 coach but it's going to take more than a couple Camellia Bowl wins to get that kind of respect. Most P5 coaches, including the ones who aren't doing anything, got their start winning big in G5.

I think those two are mutually exclusive. If you want the latter the former will not be true so you don't have to worry about that happening.
I also agree with you on winning and a clean program.

I would imagine that Satt could be a OC at a P5 and a coach in waiting..........But who knows....maybe he's our Bob McKillop?

That's likely and would potentially be a nice pay increase depending on school, but very few FBS HCs voluntarily make that move. Tough to give up being the guy in charge to work for someone else. Satt's close enough to a P5 job that I don't think he needs that sort of stopover to get him there.
