NMSU with a first place vote. That's interesting. Maybe that was Satt.

Pretty sure it was NMSU's coach, Doug Martin, as I recall he did the same thing last year.

I seriously doubt "Myrtle Beach" finishes at the bottom. But starting them out there seems reasonable. What poll is this? Gotta a link I am not seeing?

Re: Sunbelt Preseason Poll is out
I'm skeptical on USA. They've gotten a lot of mileage, perceptionwise, out of two good OOC wins last year.

Re: Sunbelt Preseason Poll is out
No kidding! I think around here we all tend to be a little too dismissive of our middle of the pack and lower SBC mates. A sweep of the Belt this year would truly be a remarkable accomplishment regardless of how we do OOC, and despite not having to play Troy or Ark State. It's going to be brutal!DaphneUrquhart wrote:Now to make good on the potential...

Easy to be dismissive when we've spent the last 2.5 years torching just about everyone in sight. Everyone we play this year is playing catch-up with us, and they have a whole lot of ground to make up.CVAPP wrote:No kidding! Your point is in part my point, it's easy to be dismissive. I will stand by my statement...a sweep of the Belt this year will be a remarkable accomplishment. Certainly not an accomplishment beyond expectations, but one much easier said than done.EastHallApp wrote:Easy to be dismissive when we've spent the last 2.5 years torching just about everyone in sight. Re: Sunbelt Preseason Poll is out
We are in that weird situation where a sweep is possible, like Southern in 2014 but without playing Troy, stAte, or South Alabama it would feel a bit hollow. That being said a sweep requires good health and good luck. Will be great when we have a CCG
