Special Teams

I missed Rice v Stanford down under but every other game had ST errors. From kickoffs going out of bounds to muffed punts to blocked punts/FGs. Hopefully the staff noticed and will take some extra time to fine tune STs this week. App can ill afford any ST miscues against UGA.

I thought a team had already burned us on a kickoff return. Whew.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Hopefully the staff isn't spending much time watching any other teams right now besides us and UGA.

Such miscues cost us an SEC win last season.

Last year at Tennessee we benefited from a UT miscue, they fumbled on our first punt and our STs recovered the fumble. We quickly converted this into our first TD. We also were on the short end of two missed kicks, one extra point and one field goal, either one would have won the game. I think our staff and players will be well aware of the importance and don't require any other games to better make the point. Can they convert that awareness and thorough offseason preparation into on field performance will be seen Saturday evening.

Just in case, can someone text Stu Holt and ask him if he is planning to spend some extra time this week on ST?
