New #14
Malik Williams has chosen to wear #14. Highly rated recruit, could this be a trilogy? I wouldn't mind if it were.

Re: New #14
Anybody know where we are most likely to use him? Played RB and QB in high school. Is he more likely to convert to WR or DB at App?

WR....mostly slot. Marcus Williams Jr is the RB from two classes back, in case some were mixing them up.

Re: New #14
Sorry everyone. I know this post was confusing both before and after I edited it. Marcus Williams was a RB from 2016, along with Darrynton Evans. The positions they played in high school. But since Evans is being used everywhere I list him as an ATH, just as App State Sports does.firemoose wrote:WR....mostly slot. Malik Williams is a WR for us, mainly used in the slot, as stated. He did play quarterback for Chester High School but also played in multiple positions as situations required. During his senior season he threw for 1,779 yards and 14 touchdowns and ran for 1,565 yards and 27 scores. An 80-yard kickoff return touchdown gave him 3,611 total yards and he was responsible for 42 touchdowns for the season. William’s list of accolades is impressive; HSSR-SCHSL AAA All-State first-team, Tri-County Coaches Association 1-A/2-A/3-A Offensive Player of the Year, 3-A Region 4 Player of the Year, and Herald All-Area first-team.

Thanks for the clarification! Malik Williams appears to be a heck of a weapon. I look forward to seeing some of these young guys on the field!
