For the record, I like the all-gold uniforms fine. Better than the all-whites for sure. But they should give up trying to get the fans to "Gold Out." I understand it's a ploy to sell shirts. But even to the extent that fans comply, there will be tons of empty seats and it just isn't going to look all that impressive.

This "major announcement" was a let down for certain. I was expecting more. As for the "______ Out" days I'd rather see every home Saturday be Black Saturday. Every......home........game.

Based on past let downs, and certainly from App State equipment's tweet, I think it was pretty easy to figure out this was uni related and therefore a major letdown when it comes to something being blown up as a "big announcement." Familiar pattern. Exactly what I expected by connecting the dots. Agree with doing away with the theme dress days. We don't excel at that.

We need to make the Athletic Department categorize their announcements.
Major - Move to new conference - AAC or higher - Stadium expansion, or related
Big - Scheduling deal with P5 home and home, even deal with top tier G5 would merit this level
Regular Announcement - Gold out, white out, black out, game time, ESPN picking up game
Daily update - practice activies/report

They should take a page from the pope announcements and do different color smoke from the roof of the Athletics Center based on the importance of the announcement.

White = Big
None = Regular
Black = Evacuate because the building's on fire
Purple = Disband the university
