Did you notice. They only think 3 teams will be bowl eligible from the Sun Belt. Doesn't sound good for the Sun Belt.

Any reason to think the New Orleans Bowl would take us over Troy and stAte, assuming we're all eligible? Even if we win the SBC, they've passed on the conference champ before.

Sorry - this site/opponent just doesn't really excite me - New Orleans is a great city and all...

Rumor was that they likely would have chosen us last year if ULL hadn't gotten eligible.

If putting butts in seats is the object, I see no reason why the New Orleans Bowl would take App over teams like ULL, Troy and stAte, all of whom have fanbases that are MUCH closer.

If that is the case, the Camellia Bowl will likely be an annual trip as they pick before Cure. (I've got a feeling Dollar General wouldn't want App any more than New Orleans does).

I've spent a lot of time in New Orleans over the years. If I never have to go back it will be too soon! Beale St smells like vomit & urine but you won't notice because you have your hand on your wallet trying to avoid the pick pockets. Leave the women & children behind...it's definitely no place for a family.

I don't want to go to the same place every year, but the Camellia Bowl and Montgomery has been a great experience the last two years.

We are stuck in bowl hell. Gonna be a few years until it gets better. Go 10-2 with a P5 win and slip up in conference play and it's Camelia bowl. Go 8-4 with two P5 losses and 2 other losses and it's Camelia bowl. Opponents relatively similar to the past two years.

I wouldn't mind multiple trips to Montgomery if they could alternate other conferences through as the opponent. MAC ,AAC, CUSA, MWC, etc.....

Let's not exaggerate the situation. Bowl "hell" seems excessive. I think it's more like Bowl Purgatory. Just saying. :-)

Seriously, it helps to remember that we are still new to FBS and we are WAY ahead of schedule in our success. I can live with whatever bowl game we get for now.

when we beat UGA week 1, think they move us into the Peach bowl at-large position in the weekly bowl predictions?

No UGA will fall completely out after the "stunning" loss!
