Don't care for the fireworks, before them we had "smoke" and I thought that was really cool. Always felt we "stole" the fire works from NC State when Cobb came to town.

On a better note, "Welcome to the Rock" was audible for the first time in YEARS!

Now it's just audibly lame.
A 26 year old film that has nothing or no one in common with our school except the title of the movie happens to coincide with the nickname of our stadium.
This year's senior class was -4 when this film was "popular"
Nothing gets me hyped for a college football game like a .5 second clip of a 66 year old (at the time of filming) man playing a role in a prison movie.

They can't play stuff like that anymore. Its all gotta be mind-numbing hip hop garbage.

I totally missed their entrance because of my pocketbook! Had to hike all the way back to the car and leave it😡 Nothing in my season ticket package about the new policy either. All these years and nothing in my purse has ever "endangered the players".
Off my soapbox now...

Sorry to hear you had an issue, but check out Page 5 of ticket booklet... ;)

College football games are a mix of demographics...which is why there will always be country music, rock, rap and our band getting air time. Can't please everyone every time, but I do agree I want to hear the AC/DC back in black!

"Welcome to the Rock" is awesome! It's a must and a key part of our pregame ritual. Just like the fireworks, Mountain Music, and many others. Tweaks are fine, and we have to let them try different things to improve the experience.

Black Magic Woman
Original Fleetwood Mac I assume.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

I didn't even notice the lack of fireworks. I was too mesmerized by the enormous video board. It was great to be able to understand everything that was being said by the announcers. I'm in agreement that the volume level could come down a couple of notches.

Mom_n_Buggie - Last page of season ticket package facing your first set of tickets covered the new bag policy. Although I did see some people turned away and some let through with larger than allowed bags.

Questions about fireworks, video board volume, and others are answered in this segment from Doug Gillin. :D

Of which the students will know about 2 of those songs. When will the 40+ crowd get it through your thick skulls...THE. MUSIC. PLAYED. IN. THE. STADIUM. IS. NOT. FOR. YOU. It's to keep the 18-22 year old student section happy and hyped. Pure and simple.

If they played Fleetwood Mac would your entire section stand up, dance, cheer, go nuts? No. You'd sit there and quietly nod or tap your toe. When they play that "hip hop crap" our student section who paints their bodies, shows up to pack their section an hour before kickoff, brings flags, screams APP...STATE...APP...STATE at the top of their lungs, and does pushups when we score touchdown, they dance and goes nuts which looks good on tv.

Get over your "I'm a man, I'm 40" sense entitlement.

Men in Black would be good to me, but lost on today's youth.
