A question for those who know about TV tie-ins

Why was a game like this relegated to ESPN3 only??? - Is the SBC so limited in tv contracts that this game couldn't have been picked up by someone??? - even on TWC (actually sorryassed Spectrum) they have College Football Extra channels - here are just some of the games shown today - Brown v. Harvard, Gardner-Webb v Wofford, Miami Ohio v. C. Michigan, Robert Morris v. ND State, So. Ill v. Memphis and RIGHT NOW WE HAVE MARS HILL AT CATAWBA???

the ESPN3 stream sucked - I missed at least every other play -
Someone help me out here with some reasons why WF at APP is picked up by nobody???

In NC? That's easy, UNC/Duke was on.

Which one would have been fitting?

I could be wrong, but I think the basic answer is that ESPN owns the rights to the game, whether they want to broadcast it or do online only. So some random local channel probably can't just decide to show a game that ESPN owns.

Yes I understand that and am sure you are right - those other games I was referring to were all ESPN3 games but were picked up and also shown on ESPN Sports Extra channels on Spectrum ---
