Ha - that reminds me of a game several years ago - HkyMtneer was sitting beside me and as APP kept running the same looking play for little gain he turned and asked me "Why do they run that same play that doesn't work" and luckily for me about a minute later APP ran what looked like that same old play and Whoop, there goes Travaris Cadet about 80 yards for the TD and I said, "That's why" :>)

Pizza... I'm totally in agreement with you! We choked on the decisions there at the end! Somewhere you have to lay it all on the line and go win a game! That's 2 huge games the last 2 years that we played it close to the vest, and neither turned out the right way! It's the play to win, rather than playing not to lose adage.

Nothing wrong with the decisions. They gave us a chance to "go win a game." If the kick is good, the same decisions are brilliant.

If we are going to play Monday Morning QB, the spike on First Down was not necessary. The clock stopped to move the chains and we could have lined up and run another pass play, with plenty of time to spike the ball on second down, if need be.

The bottom line is that we outplayed them, but didn't have the same precise execution that Wake had. The bonehead encroachment penalty on the punt was just as bad as anything that happened in the final sequences.
