Tailgating in front of River Street Deck

My friends and I noticed several tailgate tents set up on the lawn between the River Street deck and the street.

We'd like to do the same but want to know the rules on setting up. Is it first come, first set up or are their formal or informal etiquette guidelines we should follow. Are special permits needed?

Appreciate hearing from those that tailgate in this location.

Thanks!

I used to do it all the time when I parked in that deck, was first come first served then.

We do it now, its first come basis, we park in the deck so its perfect for us. Its right in front of the police station but have never had any issues with them except when we had a fire pit fueled by propane barely under the overhang of the parking deck. We've become good friends with everyone that we see in this location, usually its the same people.

We tailgate in this section. Love it. The same people are usually in the same spots each Saturday, but it's first come first serve, no special permits or assigned spaces
