By the looks of it this is just prior to kick off. Wow.

And for the record they reported over 10k in attendance.
Maybe as it is with us, they counted tickets sold whether the holders showed up or not.
What would our attendance look like if we had just started our program and had lost as many games in that short interim?

Let's not laugh too hard until we see how we do with a new quarterback next year. Little chance of us losing to them, but we could still look ugly without losing. Anything less than a shut out will be embarrassing. IMOP.

Well, considering UNCC academics are you really surprised? I am guessing this was a freshman math assignment that was done as well as can be expected from their students.
Umm. They have an engineering school and we don't. We play several teams in the SB with just as bad of academics as UNC-Harrisburg.

I really don't get the digs at UNCC academics. It is a perfectly reputable part of the UNC system. I'm proud of what App has achieved but I don't see how it is appropriate or useful for us to adopt the snob attitude toward sister schools that others have had towards us. I just don't see the need in going there.

I think we can stay in the athletics realm and have plenty to point and laugh at. Their academics are pretty decent overall, we have better scores up front upon entrance, but they have research / grad programs where we currently lack.

Not a fan of UNCC at all but am not talking any trash about their academics or athletics. We're App State. Let's be above that. We have our chances to prove ourselves on the basketball court this year and on the football field next 2 years. Hopefully, we get it done and are good winners.

Exactly. Even UNC-Chapel Hill looks down on us worse than Duke does us.

I'm envious of the academic program expansion at UNCC. They are pumping out some solid high paying job applicants. Having the physical room to grow and being in Charlotte is hard to beat for exposure. They have had a solid stream of Good lobbying Chancellors and advocates. We had one. Ken Peacock could move the needle

If you ever have doubts in our athletics department's direction or program worth, read this thread to see how bad things could be:

http://ninernation.net/index.php?topic=35176.0

I almost feel sorry for them, but a lot of us did call this happening. They just tried to rise too quickly, and never put in the actual work to develop. Our beefs with our Chancellor are another topic, but so far she seems to just insulate herself from most stuff athletics, which is likely for the best in her case.

Thank you for saying this. I honestly find it embarrassing we have a 9 page thread about UNCC football on the App message board. It screams "little man syndrome" and I assumed we were better than that.

I think it screams how bad they really are, we wouldn't have a 9 page thread if there wasn't anything to point and look at. I see what you are saying, but if those green weenies didn't hit the scene how they did years ago we wouldn't care too much now would we, call it karma.

According to this website, Judy has served as the AD since 1990.

27 years is a long time.

If we ever crash, and most everyone eventually does it is going to be bloody.

If we were to crash we would be very similar to Ga Southern, way too much pride built into our program to allow an institution of ineptitude to build and maintain itself for almost three decades.
