Student section Yelling "You Suck @ssholes" on kickoffs - PLEASE STOP

I did not see any new chants or anything on the video board.

Not sure how you missed it.....was on the board on every kickoff with the exception of the first one to start the game... but the students must have missed it too.... the chant was SUPPOSED to be "We Are APP STATE"

I was hoping for something more original. Just seemed like a total rip off of Penn State.

Wow you nailed it on the head... watching the Penn State game after being at our game... we played the exact same song and copied their chant.... that's a UNC (Wikipedia) type move..lol - we're better than that!

Just let the music from the scoreboard continue to play through the kickoff and they'll be drowned out.

I had a guest ticket from my daughter (for what it is worth it also got me in 15 minutes early with her Student Yosef Club membership) so I stood in the middle of the student section. Actually I was on the front row close to mid field.

I did hear the chant at kickoff but it was not as loud as I thought it would be. It may have been equally loud on the east side but it seemed less students were yelling out the "You Suck..." chant. I did not hear anyone yell out the new chant, but I may have heard a few "Booms" on kickoff by us.

I did notice a few students, or possibly another alumni much younger than I calling out those that were yelling the "You Suck" chant to be more classy.

I took time to call out those around me for booing when Rubino was introduced on the display. (Never boo a fellow Mountaineer representing the school!! and one more !) That was sad to hear.

I also did not care for the "91" chant when Rubino was not given a chance for the last XP that the students chanted after the successful last XP by Chandler Staton. I will not argue replacing Rubino but no need to pile on. Normally clapping would have been sufficient.

^ agree on Rubino. I'm all for replacing him but the kid has to feel terrible. Why would anyone boo him? Another case of majority bullying.

I also felt like it was quieter. Maybe some of the students will help to self police it. I love Appalachian, I want the Rock to ROCK, but let's not sink to childish vulgar language...to me that's like saying a comedian is hilarious just because they can use the F word with good timing...it's like a cheat code...
