Yes NCAA rules. App had to either have the cheerleaders or the dance team

What??? The NCAA passing stupid rules about cheerleaders? And dancing girls? (they used to be called the Appalettes way back when). Just when I was relieved to hear Hell's Bells during a playoff game they come up with another rule.
Someone please give these folks something to do, like work a jigsaw puzzle or something else constructive to do.

...besides changing rules back and forth every year to give the rules committee members extra dough.

I heard FBS does not have that rule.

Follow up question: given the choice between the cheerleaders and the dancing team, why did we make the choice we did? I believe the dance team would have been the way to go
