Re: Injuries
Well let's take the Holes for a comparison - All everyone says is "they have had so many injuries" - could be true, sure it is true - BUT they lose every week - They clearly don't have what it takes to overcome their injuries - I mean VT - 59 unc - 7 ???

- Yes, Stout played yesterday.
- Adams already redshirted a year, so that's not an option for him this year.
Getting a sixth year requires showing that BOTH missed years were due to injury. If that was the case in his original RS year, I've never heard of it.

Re: Injuries
I certainly could be wrong - but I don't believe your statement is correct about BOTH years ---EastHallApp wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 9:08 pmmtnjax wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 12:48 pmThe team would have to petition for a medical hardship to get a 6th year. Re: Injuries
For a regular medical hardship you are correct. However, if that hardship coincides with a 6th year of eligibility, like Corey Lynch received, you have to prove 2 years were missed due to iniury or something “out of your control.” Regular redshirts typically don’t fall into that category.WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 9:27 pmI certainly could be wrong - but I don't believe your statement is correct about BOTH years ---EastHallApp wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 9:08 pmmtnjax wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 12:48 pmThe team would have to petition for a medical hardship to get a 6th year. I was disappointed. I wanted it to be worse.

Re: Injuries
Just had a crazy thought regarding injuries. Don’t any of our opponents potentially have the same issue? It’s not like every single team we play is completely healthy. It’s all about how prepared the other guys are.

Re: Injuries
Generally yes. Though UMass may be the healthiest team in all FBS. They had 21 days of rest going into their game against Georgia Southern last week.

Re: Injuries
Too much of a blanket statement. Most, if not all, teams are dealing with injuries. It's football. But there are injuries and then there are critical injuries. Most FBS programs have, or try to have, at least three layers of depth in a group with the others below them cross worked to fill in as needed in different positions within their position group. When we and some other teams like us that are dealing with multiple injuries within the same group have issues is when you reach 3 levels and below on the chart and you have to start playing redshirt and true freshmen who haven't been able to get many reps, either in game conditions, or more importantly, with the other 1's and 2's, in order to develop chemistry and continuity with the others they are playing with. I've said it multiple times that everyone has to be on the same page for football to work on both sides of the ball. And there are only so many days of practice during the week.
So yes, many teams are dealing with injuries but for some the issues go much deeper and are harder to over come.

What's the word on Stringer and Jalin this week? Hopefully, now that we are back in conference play they will be good to go. GO APPS!!

Re: Injuries
I hope they will be ready for Saturday. I agreed 100% with the decision to hold them out of the UMass game...

Re: Injuries
This team only has about 10 Jrs from my quick count.
There are lots of FR & SO (Rs & not Rs) and a decent number of SRs.
What happened to the 2014 recruiting class?
Also I just realized we get Jalin Moore back next year and has anyone else heard about this new QB recruit we picked up? The 6'5" kid from around Greensboro?
