UMass Roll Call

For those that are going to the UMass game I saw where the Boston Alumni Charter is hosting a tailgate.

I will be there with 4 and I know of another person in our tailgate group that will have about 10-15 with them. We are parking in Lot 22 http://umassathletics.com/sports/2017/ ... rking.aspx and should have our App flags flying.

Hopefully WXAPP will post a good forecast for this Saturday. :)

2 from Hickory will be rolling into Amherst on early afternoon Saturday...a bit before game time. Looking forward to an "easy" day at the office but mentally preparing for another nail-biter.

Attendance should be boosted by a few thousand as it's Band Day.

BAND DAY 2017 returns to UMass Amherst!! Yes, we’re back on campus!
Each fall, dozens of high school bands join the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band, the Power and Class of New England, for a day of rehearsal and a thrilling halftime performance. Not only is this great fun for all participants, it offers high school musicians a glimpse of what it is like performing in front of a college audience. This year, we are bringing this tradition back to campus for the 33rd Annual UMass Band Day! Join the Minuteman Band in a rehearsal of several specially designed pieces that will be performed at halftime for thousands of fans!

Band Day Music
The music for Band Day 2017 will be from the Beatles iconic album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heartclub Band. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Sgt. Pepper’s album and the Minuteman Band is excited to pay tribute these legendary artists and their unique contribution to rock-n-roll.

I remember the UMass band at the 2006 Championship game - they were really good ---

I'll be there! Flying in to Boston Friday morning and driving over Saturday. Hoping for a complete game against a team that might have found their footing and confidence. Lets Go Apps!

They've moved all of their games back to Amherst and to campus, since "renovating" their stadium. They are playing one game in Fenway Park this year, against Maine, as part of 2/3 college football games in Fenway, and I'm fairly certain that is a "home" game for UMass.
