Thursday night Gumroots

Based on the ticket packages being offered in the e-mail I just received, I'd say attendance isn't looking good.

I applaud them for being proactive to try and get people to the game.

Man! Who wouldn't want to come up to the Boone on an electric Thursday night against our biggest rival with an almost guaranteed crispness to the air?!!!

I've been in the stands for each game and they have all been exciting (except for Savannah St).

Come on App Nation!

But first, BEAT 'MON-ROE!

Have the ticket sales ever been very good for Thursday games?

Don't have time to check the ticket page now, but there have been plenty of seats available for every game but Wake and Coastal (including the remaining two).

Thursday night games are tough for plenty of folks who work, have school-aged children, or have small children. Thankfully, my boss is letting all the App fans leave work early so we can make the game.

I think having Friday off (for Veterans Day) after the game will help attendance. It allows me make a weekend of it in Boone with my Family, whereas I would have otherwise been at home watching and helping get the kids ready for school on Friday. I suspect that I'm not the only one doing this.

Early forecast showed rain and mid 50's. Not ideal, but still planning to make the 12 hour drive up for this one. Can't wait.

We had 24,121 for our Thursday night game against GS in 2015. Was a lively crowd! Students should be there in force. Hopefully many alumni are there as well. I will be.

As it currently stands, I'll be heading down, leaving out (from Maryland) on Wednesday, family issue. I plan to be in town 4 to 5 days, therefore, going to the App/Stink and Watauga High playoff games.

I'll be sneaking out of the office early that Thursday...but let's keep that between us.

After going to UMass and seeing the students leave before the game, I will never complain about an App crowd again. :) With that being said, I can't wait for this game. I plan to get to Duncan as soon as they let us in and then spend the next day or so in the Boone area. I can't believe we only have 2 home games left. Enjoy it while we can, it will be a long time until the countdown starts again.

I'm taking a half day on Thursday, driving home to Charlotte that night, and working a full day Friday. Anyone within 2-3 hours can make it happen if they really want to. I plan on GS being a Thursday game as soon as the schedule is out and plan my time off for it.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?
