I'd love to see more of these football H&H scheduling announcements also include basketball and baseball series. Wofford (who just built a GORGEOUS new basketball facility) hosted South Carolina to open the new building and will host North Carolina sometime in the next year or two. Would be great to host the pack or the pirates in basketball in Boone.

Aren't UNC and ECU both coming to Boone in the near future? And Wake just made the trip. If true, NC State is late to the table. To be fair, what do any of them have to gain for coming to Boone? Low travel costs?
Good point. Scheduling us does not help their recruiting, and we don't represent a financial boon to them. We might help their SOS, but only to they degree that we might beat them. I know it's never going to happen, but we should as fans be respectful to the in-state P5s that agree to schedule us. We have a lot more to gain than they do.

BTW, I suppose mileage varies, but my Wolfpack alum acquaintances have always been respectful of App's football success. I have far more Tarheel alum acquaintances, but they are the typical "basketball rules my collegiate fandom" types.

It's funny that their fans are complaining about our stadium, but we all know we would have at least 35,000 in the stadium if it happens.

Just looking at the past 3 seasons, they have played in front of less than 35,000 on 6 occasions with a 7th time coming up at Wake this week. So stadium/crowd size is nothing but a cover for their snobbery.
Maybe with stadium enhancements we won't be capped at 35K by the time they come to Boone. Can't wait to see the final plans for The Rock.

Clawson, Wake's football coach, said he'd rather play games against schools like App instead of out of region G5s like Utah St, because their fans care more about those games. Regional games mean more and more of their fans get actually get to the games. It'll take a few years for the FCS label to get out of people's minds though.

To be fair, Moose is quiet on this board in general any more because of the constant bashing of the University and athletic program...

11/22 for a "big" game screams SEC as they tend to schedule OOC games prior to their rivalry game.

I’m going to take a wild a$$ guess and say the Gamecocks are coming to Boone the week prior to them playing Clempson at home. I’m grilling chicken at my tailgate. For the record, I have no inside info on my guess.

Maybe it's a resumption of the Old Mountain Jug game after Western moves to FBS?

Arrogance from Moo U. Can't be...
Moo U? Really? That's about as good as Crap State.
I mean, they do literally have cows grazing on their grounds a mile from the stadium.
Yeah I know, but it was stupid in middle school and it's stupid now. I guess I've been in NC too long. EZU, Wine and Cheese, Moo U, Crap State etc. They all have been overplayed. I just kind of snarl when I hear adults use them.
