GA. State viewing and Davidson B'ball game

Unread post by Rick83 » Wed Nov 15, 2017 11:48 am

So, I'm thinking of going to the Davidson game Saturday night the 25th but the football game is at 2:00 on ESPN3 and the basketball game starts at 7:00. Where's a good place that will have the football game on (for sure) if I go up early. I'm about 2 hours from Boone so it's tight watching the football game at home and then heading up to Boone. Do the bars show the ESPN3 games up there? I would think they would if they have a streaming device for their TVs.

The Rock will have it playing or try Boone Saloon.

They should charge a few dollars, open up a concession stand or two and show it in KBS on the big screen or inside of Holmes on the center board if there is nothing else going on in Holmes before the MBB game. They might make a few dollars over the cost of labor and wear and tear on the display board.

Maybe sell one ticket to both and get a larger than normal crowd to a basketball game, maybe)

(Not very practical on the one hand but that would ensure fans can see both. And I assuming the rights fee would be something that could be worked out since we are one of the teams playing.)
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

The answer is Tapp Room. I'll be there for football and then head over to Holmes for basketball.

The ONLY answer is TApp. I pitty the fool who thinks The Rock and Lost Province are good options.

Yeah I'd go tApp, Boone Saloon, or the Rock. Boone Saloon is underrated, they have great deals and have a huge projector they show games on plus cheap PBR.

Kind of on topic, where would be the best place to go to watch the basketball game tomorrow (it's on ESPNU)

Can't make it to Atlanta for the G. State game but may try to watch in Boone with fellow APP fans. Is Tapp room the best place to gather? Do they mind if you hang out for the whole game?

We cant make it to Atlanta today either. We always go up to The Rock to watch/eat when we cannot make it to the away games. They have a good PBR special also on 16 ouncers and also have some good choices on tap.
Give Em Hell!!
