I would like it. But I’m weird.

It's all a matter of perspective: 10 Years ago the fan base would have enthusiastically welcomed this opportunity.

Me personally, I do not have an issue with it. Even though we announced 2:30 ages ago, the Sun Belt does not formally announce the times until 12 days out. They are exercising their right to move that decision to 6 days before. I am not going to let a late kick off stop me from thanking the Seniors for all the work they put in for this transition to be as successful as it has been. I understand the child and elderly aspect and how that can compound things. As far as rates go, when you book months out they are not that bad. As soon as the schedule comes out, I book a room for every game, wait until the cancellation deadline, and make a decision. Out of 5 games this year I have only stayed for Wake and GaSo. It’s about a 7 hour round trip for me. To each their own, and I respect your decision.

That's when it actually meant something to be on ESPN 2. Now with WatchESPN, being on ESPN has just become the norm, it's not as special. I remember when I was in school which was 10 years ago students and fans got excited because being a part of a game featured on ESPN was a big deal.

It’s good for our fans who have less modern TV/video setups (i.e., no apps). Otherwise, not much benefit.

I'll likely be out if it changes to 7:30, but it would give App a greater advantage as ULL will just want to get off the field and get next to those heaters.

I love night games. However, moving it at this late date sucks. We planned on the game being in the afternoon. My wife and I bought tickets to the new Tweetsie Christmas for Saturday night. Taking our daughter, her boyfriend and niece. We may end up splitting up. Some go to ballgame some to Tweetsie.

IF Georgia Southern somehow beats Louisiana Saturday, the Cajun's would come to Boone needing a win to be bowl eligible.

I totally understand why some may not be able to make it and don't wont to sound offensive here. but I think: 1)Lack of size of the fan base, 2) Willingness/ability of our fan base to adjust to these type of games, can hinder this programs ability to grow. I feel start time adjustments like this comes with big time football.
I for 1 will be excited for a nationally televised night game, more time to tailgate, and a colder temperature to give a better home field advantage. But will be at the rock for either start time cheering hard for the Neers.

Well 10 years ago I was 10 years younger (or more appropriately I am now 10 years older) and would have looked at this possible change totally differently than now --- Honestly, now I would prefer ESPN2 because I have had nothing but a total season of frustration with ESPN3 and TWC/Spectrum ---

I like night games too, but a night game in December in Boone is kind of a special deal. I'm also not as young as I once was and driving home after a night game is tough, but all that being said, I'll be there whether it starts at 2, 2:30 or 7:30.

I can't go if they move it. Work the next day, wouldn't be able to get home in time.

I'd love it. Got to do an office Christmas party Friday night then drive 5 hrs to make the game. Xtra time would be nice. Plus, I do love a night game.

It actually is still a big deal to be on ESPN2. For example, the only time I ever view WatchESPN through my smart tv is if App is playing and I'm not there or if I want to see what is going on with a Sun Belt foe. Otherwise, I stick to ESPN or 2 or regular networks.

If this were a random weeknight I'd agree. But this was actually the point of my post alluding to the ACC and B1G title games being at basically the same time. Other than App/ULL diehards, who is going to watch our game when there are two P5 championship games that might be de facto CFP play-ins running opposite?sixtoes9134 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2017 2:52 pmIt actually is still a big deal to be on ESPN2. I would be hamstrung if they move it. I have a five hour one way drive and can make the 2:30 start and get back home to work on Sunday. I'm a Pastor and I need a bit of sleep before preaching on Sunday. If I can't go, I'll "take one for the team " and watch on ESPN.
Re: Louisiana game could move to 7:30 p.m., final decision Saturday night
Not only size of fan base but vicinity of fan base. Atime change like this in Raleigh you still get home in 30 40 minutes. I don't think fan base adaptation to time changes will hinder program growth. Hope not anyway.CoachRob wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2017 10:47 amI totally understand why some may not be able to make it and don't wont to sound offensive here. but I think: 1)Lack of size of the fan base, 2) Willingness/ability of our fan base to adjust to these type of games, can hinder this programs ability to grow. Karl Benson said on Joneboro radio that if stAte and Troy win on Saturday, they're more than likely getting the ESPN2 slot.

Anytime you are on ESPN it's a good thing. Recruits watch.
