The regular season finale between the Mountaineers and Ragin' Cajuns on Dec. 2 in Boone has been tentatively scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN3, but it could possibly move to 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2 if it's selected over the finale between Arkansas State and Troy, who could both be 6-1 in the league with at least a share of a Sun Belt title going to the winner of that meeting in Jonesboro, Ark.
The Sun Belt plans to release official times and networks for the App State-Louisiana and Arkansas State-Troy finales on Saturday night, after the Mountaineers' game at Georgia State and other noteworthy games have been completed. In most cases, the league releases kickoff times and network assignments 12 days in advance, as it did Monday with four other Dec. 2 games.
Dec. 2 is set to be an eventful day in Boone, as a home basketball game between App State's men and American Athletic Conference member South Florida has been scheduled to follow an afternoon football game and have a 7 p.m. start time at the Holmes Center. The Bulls play in North Carolina at Elon that Thursday night and have a home game two days after the appearance in Boone.
If the schedule remains unchanged with a 2:30 p.m. home football game against Louisiana and a 7 p.m. home basketball game against South Florida, information on parking guidelines and ticket promotions for that day can be found by clicking here.

Can't think they would pick our game over Troy and StAte. What would they do about the basketball game? Would they flip times?

So they're going to hurt attendance, freeze the people who do show up, force people to get hotels on short notice AND conflict with a basketball game down the street.
But on the plus side, just imagine all the viewers we'll get on ESPN2!

Surely you don’t think ESPN cares anything about all those thingsEastHallApp wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 4:37 pmSo they're going to hurt attendance, freeze the people who do show up, force people to get hotels on short notice AND conflict with a basketball game down the street.

If stAte loses to ULM and we win.....then it’s a good chance we’re it. The bright side is that the Cajuns might not even make the trip if they have to play at night.

Great attitude. I guess that is also what the fans from Clemson, Ohio State, Miami and Wisconsin must have been thinking too. It's a Saturday night, do you turn into a pumpkin at Midnight or something?EastHallApp wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 4:37 pmSo they're going to hurt attendance, freeze the people who do show up, force people to get hotels on short notice AND conflict with a basketball game down the street.

No, I'll watch either way. Which part of my post do you feel is inaccurate?AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 5:00 pmGreat attitude. Some of us have to drive a long distance and most of the motels in and around Boone require a two night minimum. Have you checked the rates lately?????????? They're astronomical except for the dump Greene's calls a motel.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 5:00 pmGreat attitude. Why would ULL not make the trip? They have to or else forfeit. Hopefully you were being facetious. If so, the "standard" on message boards is to use purple to denote sarcasm.proasu89 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 4:53 pmSurely you don’t think ESPN cares anything about all those thingsEastHallApp wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 4:37 pmSo they're going to hurt attendance, freeze the people who do show up, force people to get hotels on short notice AND conflict with a basketball game down the street.

Well this would suck for me. As others have said, long way to travel and I've already blown the hotel budget for the season. Sucks for the basketball team which might be playing to totally empty seats.

I would imagine they would play the basketball earlier and if smart, offer a $10 ticket for those holding a football game ticket. That would fill up the arena. B-ball at two, tailgate from 4 to 7, football at 7:30.

Re: Louisiana game could move to 7:30 p.m., final decision Saturday night
While it would be nice to be on ESPN2, we probably wouldn't be able to make the game if moved. We don't live all that far away, but have a 2 year old and I'm not having her out that late when it will be cold. 2pm is much different than 7pm.
I guess ULL would be upset too because they had to travel "oh so far" from their hotel to the stadium before and it was a chilly 55 degrees at that game. I can't imagine what they'll say about a nighttime December game!

I hope this doesn't happen. We have young kids that come to every game & don't have anyone to sit for us and we travel several hours to every game. Not possible for a night game for this family.

I don't like it,ESPN dictatorship . A lot of folks have made longstanding plans around this weekend and while the weather should be ok , driving home at midnight thirty won't appeal to them. It doesn't to me. I suppose you can flip flop the game times but fans with younger kids will struggle. That being said, yeah I will be there.

Since 2:30 pm kickoff was announced earlier, hope it stays at 2:30 pm. Regardless of ULL start time, all attention must be on GA State. We need to win this Saturday. I ask everyone, all App Nation, to find a way to get to ATL on the 25th.

Won't someone think of me.... 7:30 start and I can get off work and get to Boone for one last game with my senior daughter.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.
