I think they actually looked pretty decent on TV. I like the all black the best but it the team likes the variety and if it helps with recruiting I am all for it!

All black at home and all white on the road. Loved the all white with white helmet at the bowl game last year.

We won. Any combo of black, gold / yellow, and white is fine by me. Come to think of it, I'd be fine with pretty much any combo so long as it didn't have purple, orange, or baby blue.

....or gray. Why does almost every team think it's cool to wear gray unis instead of some combo of their actual school colors??

Georgia Southern's grey uniforms were pretty sweet. So were Ohio States.

I don't mind the occasional change in uniforms. The players appear to like it so it's good with me. J Moore looked pretty good running thru those Panthers with his yeller lid. I wonder if Taylor can pick up his receivers better with the bright yeller helmets rather than the black??? Black is always preferred IMO but all our unis have looked pretty good this year.

For Appalachian State Gold use PANTONE 116
For Appalachian State Gray use PANTONE 423
For Appalachian State Black use PANTONE Process Black

The PMS 116 is yellow, not old gold...

I was not aware that The Office of Trademarks & Licensing determined our school colors. I remember years past (since the early 60s when I was in grade school), going to App games and we were wearing old gold and not PMS 116.

Maybe you should tell the University. It appears they have been "officially" changed I agree that Old Gold is the traditional color..

APParently a lot of our traditions have gone by the way side in recent years, like having a real mountaineer with a rifle, etc.

The university does have official colors noted for various media. There are actually different golds / yellows on that list.

Only ones I can't stand are the all gold (helmets, jerseys, and pants). Awful.
