I agree. Watch any sack, you will see a simple celebration (kicking, a scream). This was not out of the ordinary and not over the top. Plus of all our players, Boggs is absolutely not a “hotdog” or “show off”. The dude is pretty much all business. I’d like to see anyone get a sack at a key time in the game and not get up and at least scream and stomp.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 12:35 pmDisagree with your assessment of the play. Boggs didn't do anything that isn't done 99% of the time a sack is made. He didn't show anyone up. The only difference is that some old white guy with an axe to grind felt the need to flag him for it.NewApp wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 11:02 amboonetown1 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 6:29 pmThe unsportsmanlike on Boggs was BS. A celebration after a sack not targeted at any opposing player.
Also, EJ Scott (finally healthy) is solid and Flory can flat out fly for his size. D did a good job shutting down hart.
After a big play, just trot back to the bench, huddle, or hand the ball to the ref, and guess what, there is no penalty. Only people who like hot dogs and show offs are hot dogs and showoffs.

I thought the "home run/baseball swing" was very appropriate in the repurposed baseball stadium. Boggs has a sense of history and you've got to love that. Dude can flat out play too!

I think Stringer may have been the biggest improvement in the GA St game. I kept worrying about the big gain coming on those bubble screens and each time Stringer was then with a big open field tackle. I don't think those big plays that killed us against ULM and UMass happen if Stringer was playing at full strength.

I agree about Stringer. I know there are others that have been badly missed, but when he went out, the middle of our defense became very vulnerable and we started giving up big gainers (both running and passing). We are definitely missing Simms on the pass rush as well. The combination of both being out was obviously deadly.
