Football Conference Championship Count
If my research is correct a win today will be the 20th conference championships for the Mountaineers. To put this in perspective Notre Dame, the school of Rockne and Parseghian, has never won a conference championship.
App should be in top 20 conference championships all-time after today.

If we share the championship with Troy, then we'll share the #26 spot with Montana State and Minnesota. Among current FBS/FCS teams, it's still top notch. A few more championships and we'll be top 20.

And Notre Dame has been independent most of their history.

Re: Football Conference Championship Count
Pulled the conference championship numbers from team's wikipedia pages. It's the total of all of a team's conference championships in their history.

That may be more accurate than what I was looking at. My info was a bit further removed from the source.
