Bowl projections
As of tonight ESPN has us in the Camellia Bowl vs Akron. Hope they are way wrong. Will know soon where and who for sure.

Re: Bowl projections
The ESPN one makes me nervous as they have input in the pairings. Doubtful that Camilia is the destination three years in a row.

Re: Bowl projections
If Camellia, I don't think I will go to Montgomery again. I think Akron is a more winnable game though than Toledo would be.

Re: Bowl projections
Hopefully now that starting next year we have a conference championship, they can work towards prioritizing bowls based off where you finish in the conference.

Re: Bowl projections
I agree that we should play the team that best challenges us. Just not in Montgomery.

Re: Bowl projections
Toledo is fifth in the country in total offense. They average 39 points a game. Interesting fact is that they played five games against teams with winning records.two of those were Akron. In the other three games, they averaged 22. They lost to Miami. Their OOC wins were Elon, and Tulsa and Nevada which combined for five wins. The best defense that they faced in the MAC is ranked #55. I think that we will provide the stiffest test to their offense outside on Miami.
Re: Bowl projections
Does anyone think the bowl committee will put us against Toledo two years in a row?

Re: Bowl projections
IMO if we play any team from the MAC I'd rather play the team that's most beatable. It's better to get the 3rd bowl win in a row than risk losing to a good MAC team which we get nothing from or even more street cred by beating them vs a slightly less better MAC team. It's better for the program to have successes, like conf championships, bowl victories, etc. Not that any of us have any influence on the matter.

Re: Bowl projections
When will we know? Is there like a TV show for bowl matchups or do we just keep checking the website?

Re: Bowl projections
I believe they're all announced during the CFP selection show, which begins at noon on ESPN. I'm sure they'll drag it out as much as possible, and obviously spend most of the time on the CFP itself, so not exactly sure when they get to the smaller bowls.

Re: Bowl projections
My Christmas wish is to play in Orlando vs Marshall. That would be epic and would be a great re-start of our old rivalry without having to wait until 2021 when they come to Boone. They will bring a bunch of people to that game.
