Re: Where is everyone staying in Mobile?
Debating between travel package and the reservation I already have at the Courtyard.
Edit - no travel package for me ... too pricey by comparison to what I cobbled together plus a 6 hour round trip drive to get to the "starting point". See y'all in Mobile!

Re: Where is everyone staying in Mobile?
There are 2 Marriott Renaissance (Riverwalk and Battle House) hotels downtown. The best bars and several restaurants are within walking distance. I have a reservation at Battle House.

Re: Where is everyone staying in Mobile?
Defintiely stay downtown - Battle House, Riverview Plaza (probable team hotel), Hampton Inn, Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn and if you're on a budget Quality Inn
All are safe walking distance to the bars/restaurants and Mardi Gras parade goes right in front of hotels

My wife and I are staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites-Downtown. Free breakfast and close to restaurants/bars! Shuttle to Stadium available.

Thanks everyone! Good idea about staying where the team is staying. Hopefully that information will be released soon.

Booked a room at the Riverview Plaza for two days. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to see a lot of the players and get autographs!

FYI - check out the bowl website. There are shuttles to and from many of the hotels to the stadium. This is going to be fun! #BeatToledoAgain

On the beach in Florida. Much much cheaper and a nice little beach getaway for the kids.

MobileBama—from these places, any thoughts about the best App hangout? We need to pick one:
Loda Bier Garden, Hero's, The Bicycle Shop, Alchemy Tavern, Haberdashers, Blind Mule, Merry Widow, TP Crockmeirs.
Thoughts??

Alchemy Tavern - space, location (right in middle of downtown), craft beer.
Oklahoma State had their meet up here when they played South Alabama. Easy walk to/from hotels and you can easily bar hop from here

I'm booked at the Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown. Rearranged Christmas plans for the trip. Does anyone know where we catch the Shuttle to the Stadium for the game? Do we pay in advance?

Hilton Garden Inn downtown on the square is a brand new hotel. On parade route and right in the middle of entertainment district with nice restaurant/bar patio overlooking square. Good option if you can't get into team hotel or Battle House

Re: Where is everyone staying in Mobile?
All downtown hotels have availability and looks like team hotel has lowered price - if you can do it, I'd definitely stay downtown where you can walk/shuttle to everything. Driving into and parking downtown especially Friday afternoon/evening can be tough
Renaissance - $154
Admiral - $99
Quality Inn - $75 - not a bad hotel I've stayed here for Mardi Gras - definitely party hotel (all rooms share open balcony and easy walk to bars/restaurants
