Jalen Hurts transfers to the Stink?

He would be a perfect fit, and has probably seen his last days as starter at Bama. I hope he doesn’t!

Why would he go there? He’ll have P5 programs lined up to court him should he decide to transfer.

He needs to go somewhere he can highlight his running ability. He will never make it as a qb in the NFL. Where better to highlight your running ability than in the triple option? GT might be interested, but not many p5 programs looking for a primarily running qb.

He was SEC OPOY as a true freshman. Think you’re underestimating how many P5s could use a good QB, running or otherwise.

Also not sure GS would be such a clear choice among G5s. To me the obvious one would be to reunite with Kiffin at FAU except that he might not be here by the time Hurts sits out a year.

I bet he’d go FCS and play right away before he’d go to GS.

If his top priority is training for another position in the NFL, then he should go to a school that's recruiting him for that position. Otherwise, he's thrown for nearly 5,000 yards and 40 TDs in his first two seasons, so I don't see why he'd go play triple option somewhere.

Then again he may just stick it out and try to keep his job at Alabama. The other kid had a good half, doesn't necessarily mean he's the better player.

Watching Bama all year including clean up time and their spring game. Tua is the real deal. Last night was not just a fluke, and Kirby even said they prepared and watched tape on him because they felt the swap could happen. Tua gives a true down field threat, and add Najee to the backfield it could be scary next year. Jalen has been impressive, but their offense was slacking all year. Bama fans have wanted the switch for awhile, some even after spring game. I agree though, too early to tell Hurts he is no longer a contender for the job. He has all off season to work on his flaws and come out firing his Junior year. Having two great QBs is never a bad thing. I don't think Hurts has what is needed for the next level, and if he loses the job next season I could see a Braxton Miller approach by him.

If his top priority is training for another position in the NFL, then he should stay where he is and change positions. Alabama would agree to that, surely. Extra threat.

He goes to the Stink. Runs over Sunbelt competition. Looks better than maybe he is to the next level(Adrian Peterson) and still gets to wear a number on the side of his helmet😜

I follow Bama fairly closely and have been waiting all year for Tua to get his chance in a meaningful game. Tua is the real deal and many have been calling for him all year, I don't think there is any question that he is the qb for here on out. Hurts seems like the ultimate team first guy so I doubt he would transfer, but I could see him becoming a running back or tight end in their offense.

I think if Hurts stays it is going to create some interesting dynamics at Alabama. He has only lost two games against a freaking SEC schedule. Tua has only played one half of one game. I could see this having an affect on the team if something doesn't break. Maybe Hurts goes to RB, maybe he moves on, maybe Tua struggles next year....
