Pretty interesting. He has us highest SunBelt team. Odd that he puts Toledo so high and a Troy and GaState low.

Someone didn't tell him we curb stomped Toledo. Their ranking that high is complete garbage. If you read his metrics the inflated ranking has to be because of all the faux 3 stars they get that Moose always talks about (rankings because their people know the 247/rivals guys)

His end of season rankings had us at 18, waaaaay ahead of Toledo. Those do not include recruiting scores.

I listened to the latest episode of his podcast yesterday, both him and Godfrey were very high on the Woody hire at GT and spoke of his success while here.

Interesting to see squads like CMU, FIU, and Akron so close to the bottom of the barrel after not-so-bad years. But I don't know enough about them to know what they gained and lost, and I give Bill Connelly a lot of credence.

Returning production 34? I find it hard to believe that 100 teams lost more than we did from this senior class.

At first glance, it seems to me that App is ranked way too low, where Toledo, Florida Atlantic and Marshall are all ranked high. We did have a pretty lackluster year when looking at the overall stats though because of our injuries and mid-season slump. We also lose more than we've lost in a long time in terms of starters. When doing a ranking "by the numbers" it is easy to see how we might not get respect. I don't put much stock in pre-season polls anyway, so as far as I'm concerned it's all just for message board consumption.

For 2018, I'm going in expecting at make a bowl game, but not much more given all we lost. If we compete for the SBC title it will prove that we have recruited and developed players better than anyone in the conference and it's not close the last four years.

I read through the whole thread and the ranking before I realized the title is "Bill C" not "Big C."

I should have known Charles would NEVER publish such a hack-ass ranking. The top SBC school in the 60's is a joke. These guys simply don't pay any attention to the non-power conferences. Just plain ignorant.
