Hennigan is going to be special

Unread post by MDaniels84 » Sat Jan 27, 2018 11:09 am

Stumbled across this and thought that y'all might need an App Football fix since we are already 4 weeks past our 2017 season. I can't say enough about how much of an impact this young man made as a true freshman. :D

Very nice.... hard to say he is not special after a very productive freshman season.

Fair to say as a Sophomore he will be a team leader this season. Talk about a football IQ! Let's hope our new QB develops the same chemistry with the wide receivers Lamb had.

His parents did something right. Great player, better person.

That last punt return was called back due to "improper signal" but dang, it was so much fun to watch!
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I don’t think that players with eligibility are allowed to participate in any capacity.

I saw the same improper cignal in the NFL playoffs last weekend and was wondering if the rules were different from NFL to college or if he got screwed out of a TD by a bad ref call.

The whole receiving corps should be special next season.

We have so many good WRs, hard to see we don't have some attrition there between Evans, Hennigan, Sutton, Easter, Malik Williams, Mock Adams, Purifoy, Virgil, Roscoe and some solid recruits.

Man that’s a lot of guys to catch the ball! Love it. We should be absolutely loaded at the skill position. If we solidify the lines and of course at QB we could make some noise

It will be interesting to see how defenses choose to play us. For the run or the pass.

I doubt there is much question that opponents will try to stop the run first. We've always been a run first team. They know we're loaded at RB. App fans know we're loaded with talent at WR, but others haven't seen as much evidence there. Additionally, we'll have a brand new rookie QB. I believe (or at least hope) that we are able to make them pay for trying to stack the box against us.

I'm fairly certain he is the best Pro Prospect that App has at the moment. He runs crisp routes, catches with his hands, and knows where to go to get the ball.

Corey Sutton could be a slot NFL prospect just realized he is 6"4...wow! He is a legit NFL bodied WR.

All depends on his commitment in the offseason. Same for the rest of our guys.
