I just like that ECU is now coming to Boone before our guys play in Greenville!

I'm guessing it's not VT, but I'd like to point out that people are incorrect in assuming VT does not go to G5s. They have a history of doing just that, and even will be playing at Liberty in coming years.

I honestly hate they announced the move with no timeline for letting us know why haha. The suspense is killing me. I have to know who its going to be!

You're right. Clemson is the only ACC school that schedules 7 home games and never a home and home with a G5.

Duke has an attendance problem at home. We would help them out with that. In turn we would pack the Rock when they came to Boone. Duke gives us a good shot at a win and a great game!

Duke

High Point University is starting their football program back up. We will have a home and home with them.

Looking at our history, I'd think Georgia or Clemson might be frontrunners...that's based on zero facts and merely assumption. It'd be a nice assumption though.
Not sure that would be any reason for excitement.

South Carolina fills their giant stadium and has 7 home games a year.

The only possible SEC schools are Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Kentucky or Missouri. These are the only ones who ever schedule at a G5.

ACC schools mostly will schedule at a G5 with the exception of VT and Clemson. Those two will not because they fill their giant stadium for 7 home games every season.
I do believe Tech is visiting ODU sometime in the future but that has to do more with location.

They recruit the Tide Water area hard; in a way, a trip to ODU is another home game for them as long as they win.

Lol nope. No scheduling announcements for them. The stink just announced a coaching hire for the fake Adrian Peterson LOL! Once our scheduling news drops, we’ll be the talk of the sunbelt (again). So glad our guys can get good teams to come to Boone and not UNH or Savannah State as our marquee OOC home game. Must be the ugly offense they run down there that no one wants to play against because it’s so old.

From a credible source, I heard it was Idaho as we didn't want to lose that great game off of our schedule.

I think you misspelled "scared to play because it's so scary"....at least that's what they think. 😂

I heard that Doug is going to announce it by 5:00pm today, if we add 1000 new season ticket holders.

Yep lol

They built it up like they FINALLY scheduled a P5 home game. Alas, no such game is scheduled. They've merely hired some guy with the same name as Adrian Peterson.

It won't be VT. Their OOC is already set got 2025. Per Moose's statement that "everyone will be happy" my guesses are WVU, Vandy, Kentucky, or another Wake series.
Just to be clear I said "most" would be happy. No way in Hades that everyone will ever be happy on this board. Day that happens we better start looking for the horsemen.

Timeline??? Who knows. But given that the ECU game being moved was an important step for the reason 78 pointed out, then I hope that the deal will be finished, signed, and announced soon. And this is not the only future deal we're working on. Several things still to come out. Just have to be patient. Takes time to get everything done. DG and the gang are doing good work but nothing is official until it is.

If you see Doug Gillin or Brian Tracy or Brittney Whiteside or any of the staff at the games this week(end), give ‘em a pat on the back. You might not know why you’re doing it, but they will. And you’ll be glad you did.
