Sorry. I would say (if it was a done deal) and I think most will be happy. Last word was the deal was signature ready but given nothing is official until ink is on paper you never know what could happen. But barring any last minute issues I really expect it to be announced soon.

Nothing in there was hype. Just a point of fact. The hysteria happened all on it's own. And my next and last post was just a few ago and asked for patience. Nothing is done until it's signed. Clemson was just a "rumor" until it was a game. NC State series looked like a done deal until it wasn't. No organized effort to keep information from anyone. Just no reason to get everyone all up and, as we all know will happen, have people start going after other teams fans (see the Ga Southern reference above) if the deals don't happen.

I'm telling everyone it's HPU.

Everyone is still thinking too small.

My prediction.

God Almighty, Omnipotent and Omnipresent being that he is, Creator of the Universe, is going to sign a 2 for 1. We get the two home games in Boone. We travel to The Heavens for the second game. God figured Boone is a little slice of Heaven so it is not really two away games for Him.

It won't be VT. Their OOC is already set got 2025. Per Moose's statement that "everyone will be happy" my guesses are WVU, Vandy, Kentucky, or another Wake series.

Just to be clear I said "most" would be happy. No way in Hades that everyone will ever be happy on this board. Day that happens we better start looking for the horsemen.

Timeline??? Who knows. But given that the ECU game being moved was an important step for the reason 78 pointed out, then I hope that the deal will be finished, signed, and announced soon. And this is not the only future deal we're working on. Several things still to come out. Just have to be patient. Takes time to get everything done. DG and the gang are doing good work but nothing is official until it is.

My mistake, I think you said "most will be happy". We could schedule a H&H with Alabama and some people would complain it's unwinnable. In which case, who cares - we'd have a perennial national championship contender coming to town and people would bitch and moan.

Game was over pretty quickly. They threw 3 interceptions on 3 consecutive possessions which all led to touchdowns and the score was 21-0 a few seconds into the 2nd quarter.
