Re: App @ Texas A&M in 2022
The game against Texas A&M provides nothing more than a pay check, 99.9% of the time. At any rate, with a home game against UNC in 2022, will make for a long offseason after 2021.

We have to have money games. This is a very good money game.
There are home and homes in the works that will be good as well.
These two things are not mutually exclusive.

Yes, and we're no longer listing Akron: http://www.appstatesports.com/news/2018 ... as-am.aspx
And I'm with you - it's a paycheck, and likely a large one. Otherwise this one doesn't do much for me. Maybe Jimbo will flame out and A&M will be beatable.

Re: App @ Texas A&M in 2022
With two P5s on one schedule we have another opportunity to capitalize on a better strength of schedule than most years and get ranked, similar to 2016 (UT & UM) and 2017 (UGA & WF).
It’s a winnable game in a fertile recruiting ground and a novel matchup that I haven’t seen or conceived of before.
This is more exciting to me than the Clemson announcement, but not as much as any P5 or compelling G5 matchup at KBS.

A&M fans on reddit have had some funny reactions so far:

"Kill me now"
"Michigan fans, any advice for playing these guys?"
(in response) "As a Tennessee fan, I will be eternally grateful to Michigan for losing to App State. If they hadn't, people would probably remember App State taking #9 Tennessee to overtime in 2016"
"T R A P G A M E

So when are we playing Akron now? Is that game cancelled?EastHallApp wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 11:44 amYes, and we're no longer listing Akron: http://www.appstatesports.com/news/2018 ... as-am.aspx

Eric - shutup.
This is a bucket list stadium, if you get a chance to play at the horseshoe, big house, rose bowl, home of the 12th man, etc. you do it.
Great job Doug and Co.

Already making plans to go to this one!!!
Friday night yell is supposed to be an awesome experience. Can’t wait!
On the other thread I had said I wanted: 1) marque stadium or 2) drivable. This is most definitely a marque stadium/program.

Not mentioned in the release: a $1,500,000 payout, by far the largest in our history.

Re: App @ Texas A&M in 2022
Anybody know what the difference in traveling costs, say to Wake Forest vs Texas A&M would be? Not factoring in possible payouts, just costs. And the number traveling?

Another bucket list stadium road trip. Should be fun! Certainly can't hurt recruiting.
