I would actually consider it harder to miss any of them. Can't wait!

Sarcasm? I'm going to have to disagree. In 2014 & 2015, 3 of our first 5 games were on the road outside of North Carolina. In 2016, we had a game in Akron, Ohio in the first five games. 2017, we played in San Marco's, Texas in the first five games. 3 games in Boone, 1 in Charlotte, and a money game at Penn State is in my opinion by far the most fan friendly schedule we have had since moving to the Sun Belt. Yes 3 home games in a row isn't ideal but are you saying it would be easier if one of those games was not located in North Carolina. Literally four of the first five are in North Carolina and the other is an appealing travel game.
Yes, because then one of the *other* games would be. We have 6 home games every year folks. Other than keeping games out of really cold weather season (which this schedule doesn't even do thanks to back to back in November), I see no advantage to front-loading everything in September.High Country Student wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 10:10 pmYes 3 home games in a row isn't ideal but are you saying it would be easier if one of those games was not located in North Carolina. Yep. And USM is the first home game and USA is Homecoming. Since G-W is Heroes Day, I think we'll see a lot of military discounted tixs put out.
No sarcasm at all. A lot of fans like to travel to the P5 money game, all the home games, and maybe one or two closer road games (Georgia State is a good example). Akron, San Marcos, Lafayette, Jonesboro aren't close enough to draw a large number of App State fans to travel. So including the money game that most of us want to attend, you have five consecutive weekends of App State football. I can't remember a stretch of five games like that. Even if you can't make Penn State, four (including UNCC) weekends in a row is really difficult to swing.High Country Student wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 10:10 pmSarcasm? I'm going to have to disagree. I feel the exact same way. I loved those Citadel games and the Charleston trips that came with them...but wouldn't want to go back to that schedule at all.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 11:39 amWhen we were in the SoCon every other year we played the SC trio of Furman, Wofford, and Citadel, it was before kids, but I remember going to 9 of the 11 games many years.
Please do not view this as an endorsement of those schedules, while I enjoyed those trips, but I wouldn't trade the last three years' schedules and future ones for anything I've experienced as an App fan.
I made 11 of 12 games... in 2013. The memories were but the games wereNO.2 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 12:10 pmI feel the exact same way. Gonzo and I made it to every game in 2011, it was a great year for it. Samford, Southern and 'Nooga were all home so I think the Citadel was out longest drive. Didn't play the P5 game that year, of course
