I’m all for these publications and the exposure. Lost to wake, Throttled by UGA, blew it vs TN, leveled by Miami, curb stomped by Michigan, run out of the stadium by VT, haven’t beaten ecu in my lifetime. Literally, literally have only beaten 2 P5 teams in the history of app State football, the latest one was 11 years ago.

I’m not holding my breath.
We have never played VT

13-66. We did. I was in the band and had to sit through the entire agonizing day. I can still hear that annoying turkey sound they play after a touchdown because I heard it so many times that day. Went into that season with high hopes as well ranked #2 in the FCS.

I’m not gonna lie, I think the Wake game broke me. I can’t get excited about another big P-5 regular season matchup.
I am sorry. You are mistaken. We have never played VT. It just plain didn't happen.

bcoach has always been in denial about whether or not we played VT. I've tried to block it out of my mind as well as I've been an App football fan since 1979 and that has to be by far the worst football game I've ever seen us play...and I had just moved into a neighborhood that has an unusually large VT population for the NC Triad area. Horrible.
I'm from a part of Virginia sandwiched between VT fans to the South and WV fans to the North. Two of the most obnoxious fan bases I know (Including the "WE won" Tarheel fans that went to UNCC). At least UNC basketball has some titles to back up their cockiness.

I buried my 49 year old father that day. His brother in law (who's wife was buried nearby at 51) is a long time Virginian who pulls for the castrated turkeys yet is a Wake grad..... he was listening to the game and silently cheering s my father's earthly home was buried.................. Screw the game, that DAY didn't happen.
