I think the heat that day messed with your brain. You may have been in Blacksburg that day but I wasn't to watch App State football.

I would remember that game if we played it as I only live an hour from Blacksburg. I would have been there. And I didn't ride to the game with my Hokie friends.

I thought for years that I went to that game but realized it was just a bad dream. My nightmare was I rode on a charter bus to Blacksburg. Finally, however, I realized it never happened because of two impossibilities:

1. The bus loaded in a dry county.
2. The bus toilet filled up.

Correct. I know I was in Blacksburg that day but there wasn't a football game. Since I drove up and back by myself, there's no one who can vouch for my presence ... or absence ... at whatever it was. Thanks to selective memory, the only things left of that day are memories of a beautiful campus and driving home in horrendous thunderstorms

I remember a bad sunburn and feelings of sadness and anger in Blacksburg in 2011, but not of a football game. I saw one team playing football really well and another team stay in the locker room.

And I also remember rain, wind and hail at the I-81/I-77 intersection driving home.

I’m just speculating here.....

I would imagine that many of the game times haven’t been anouced because the confrence media partners are negotiating and figuring out their broadcast linups for the year. I imagine Espn 3 doesn’t matter too much because it can happen whenever but I would like to think a matchup like this would spark a some interest for regional tv.
