SB baseball tournament is in Montgomery starting in 2020, word is they are also campaigning for/being considered for the FB Championship Game as well. :o
I hope this does not happen, game needs to be on campus! Game will be on campus for next 2 years.

Can you imagine having the football championship game there and then turning right around and playing your bowl game there? It’s could be possible.

An even crazier scenario would be playing at Troy toward the end of the year. Then traveling back to Montgomery for the SB Championship game. AND THEN heading back to the same town for the Camelia Bowl!

I would be ok with an Atlanta championship game at the Falcons stadium.Otherwise , I hope it stays on campus.

They've said the Championship game will be played at the #1 seed school in whichever division. At least for the foreseeable future.

If the SBC Football Championship game were to ever be hosted in Montgomery and one of the 2 participating teams end up at the Camellia Bowl, that would just highlight a problem with the bowl system we are all painfully aware of. I doubt the winner or runner-up of the ACC Championship game would have to worry about "falling" to the Belk Bowl. . .

But money talks. Let's just hope they aren't offering enough money to change minds.

I didn't want to start a whole new thread for this, but we (straight up with sturg on espn upstate) spent over an hour yesterday debating relegation in college football. An hour of me saying what a bad idea it is and how it's a fairytale. Yeah the theory is sound but no way would a P5 conference agree to it...even if you rebranded it as "merit based conference realignment". If you think cheating and backdoor payments are bad now imagine what would go on at an ACC or SEC school to ensure a traditional school, no matter how consistently bad, stays where they are.
