No temp seats in 2018, band moved to East Side

Sorry Saint. I just don't agree about the "demand" based explanation. Our attendance last year more than justified the temp seats that bring KBS up to 24K. Everyone wants to include the bank in our seating decision but the bank is a terrible view of the game and should be considered overflow ONLY. Just my opinion of course.

Maybe they are expecting this season's attendance to be down because of no P5 games in Boone, but I feel like this is a mistake.

When watching on TV, you'd ideally have the stands filled as much as possible and have the hill packed. The temporary seats takes away from that view and also seems quite tacky in front of the field house. The band will fill in their old spot, allowing for fewer seats to fill in blank areas on either side.

You might get your wish. At the end of the article DG mentions that he likes the hill and doesn’t want bleachers or stands just yet. Said he could envision the hill being closer to the playing field.

I've never questioned DG in the past. Won't do it now. He knows what he's doing Don't want to sit on the hill because the view suck? Pay a little more for regular seats on the east or west side. That's like me sitting in coach and upset that I don't have the same luxury as someone in first class. You get what you pay for when it comes to general admission.

DG mentioned adding tents for hospitality groups in the NEZ this season in his last interview.

Also mentioned we need to fill the stadium up more consistently. He’s telling quite the story for those willing to listen.

Most likely, that is the next area for a Seating Expansion.
Bring the base of the hill close to the end zone. Run an abbreviated hill up to Concourse Level and add Bleachers or Stadium Seats on top of the Concourse.

The preset tent area is exactly what Troy has. Very cool set up and a great way to get people together before a game.

Guys DG is a business man. If demand was there with season ticket sales comparing to prior seasons they’d be there this year.

Without the P5 games average attendance is less than 22k. Homecoming and family day will be full. Gwebb and Troy after thanksgiving will be under 20k.

Seems like a good business decision.

I agree...UNLESS...we upset PSU to start the season. Then tickets will be harder to come by.

The preset tent area is exactly what Troy has. Very cool set up and a great way to get people together before a game.

Hopefully we can have an attractive new parking lot that can allow athletics to offer this type of thing. I think that it was great how astate lumps it into a premium package with the loge seating area.
