Dang, I hate to possibly miss a high school game on Friday night, but we will be there.
Every time I go to a game in Winston-Salem I remember that play in the 80s when Dino Hackett timed the snap count and dove over their center and took their QB out - App Nation went crazy! I loved those games back in the day and App represented well. Wake dropped the series with us because of the bowl eligibility rules change...I was told that.
PS. App shoulda beat them last year.
Give Em Hell!!

Yes, I was there and still have that image of Dino launching himself over the line...to use one of my teenage son's favorite words...it was epic!

38 was trying to cause a turnover as Wake was running out the clock. The QB was shaken , not stirred. Ranks up there with a long Rico Mack interception return for 6....a Gary Davis field goal ...

Now we have to show up even better to counteract this move.

I'll say:

"Wake Forest Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Communications Steve Shutt confirmed the move of the game to a Friday instead of the usual Saturday on Aug. 15. He received word of the move Aug. 14. Shutt was not given a reason why the move was made."

Obviously we all know TV drives this stuff, but the school was simply informed of the move and didn't even have a say in what day their own home game will be played? Or perhaps the AD agreed to it but just didn't provide the media relations guy any context.
