He was one of the 20 finalists. I don't know if it has been narrowed down since then.

He was the only freshman I'm seen on any of the All American teams as he was 3rd Team AA on one. He also broke both yardage and reception records for Freshmen WR's so he should certainly have a chance. There were a number of QB's and RB's with good numbers also, so it will be interesting.

I'll be surprised if anyone else wins it. The list was not narrowed down from 20 but I don't think another candidate is as good as him. The only other players I could see winning it is the Villanova QB or Southern Utah DE. Anyone else would surprise me big time and I don't think anyone is truly as good as Price among freshmen. I saw about 8 or 9 of the finalists play and none of them could take over a game like Price did at times.

Yes Price should be a lock for Rice award. He was the only freshman in the top20 all season for wideouts even playing less games. catches yards. Question is will Kimbrough win defense award?

After watching these playoff games, I agree 100%. No freshman outstanding as Price that I've yet seen.
